This is how nerds get hitched!

Have you been to a Star Wars wedding? A dime a dozen! How about an anime-themed wedding? Or a Nintendo/Halo themed wedding? They’ve been over done. It’s all basically the same thing after all. The bride and groom and/or guests dress up as their favourite characters in lieu of traditional attire.

*yawns*

What’s so epic and nerdy about that? Clearly, nothing! A german couple just one-upped all nerds and showed everyone once and for all how a TRUE nerd (and one into classic video games at that) get’s the word out on their upcoming nuptials.

When Lia and her husband to be worked on their invitations, they wanted a keepsake that everyone would remember for years to come. They decided, since they both like video games, the invitations should reflect that!

The end result are these awesome invitations to all their would-be guests. Included is a disc with a custom made 8-bit video game allowing the the player two choices: Play as the groom or the bride in this short but sweet twist on the Super Mario Bros. classic!
