Aeon being Aeony
So most recently, I’ve been introduced to both of these lovely animated series’. Previously, the two were aired on TV, one episode of Aeon Flux backed by an episode of the Maxx. Each episode is not very long, maybe 15-20 mins per, but so amazing. I’m hooked and need more!
Everybody loves Magical Trevor
The tension between Aeon and Goodchild is hot as a Molotov cocktail. Fav episode thus far is the clone one with the double agent! I will give no spoilers to those who have not seen the magnificence that is Aeon Flux, nor will I go into the fatal attraction between her and her danger boy. Trevor Goodchild is also known for his insane expressions or just overall oddity in each episode. This alone should be a reason for people to see this show. It’s a different style of animation, yes, but it’s soooo worth getting used to <3 Especially if you like unique, complex and intricate storylines with little hints at huge significance.
Now as for the Maxx, wow. That’s entirely different! Some guy in a purple suit with a stange mask that is caught between reality and non reality, in one place he’s an amazing warrior, then the other he’s just a very strange hobo. His social worker is also his closest friend, Julie Winters, who is also his Leopard Queen. The episodes definetly make you question which is the true reality and if Maxx is actually a rabbit. If he is, I’m quite disappointed, but in truth I don’t know if he is or not.

Fav episode would be the rape attempt on Julie by Mr. Gone… Is she amazing or what. Not only does she completely keep her cool, but she insults him with ease… This leads to Mr. Gone’s monologue about women being a tease, etc. Let’s just say, definitely an awesome episode with amazing dialogue.
Finally, watching these two animated series thus far alone has inspired me to want to make costumes! Soft squishy faux-muscular bulges covered by purple spandexy goodness and an amazing acryllic and fabric one-off mask made by your truly 
, coupled by either a lovely Aeon or Julie Winters cosplay, or even both if I can get people to do it! But my current next on list is World of Warcraft related, I plan to make a Val’kyr costume with expandable wings, all transparent-like. It will be quite sexy, and it will be my second WoW-related cosplay I’ve created thus far… You’ll see it in a later article for sure
