Star Wars has been parodied. Star Wars has been referenced. Star Wars has been a guiding influence. Star Wars has been rehashed (and badly, stupid re-releases). Now, Star Wars is being remade.
However, I’m not talking about the rumored 3D-remakes that old George Lucas wants to do of the original trilogy, no, this is far cooler than that (and actually NOT a bad idea). This is a remake done by you, the fans. Everyone. They call it Star Wars: Uncut.
Star Wars: Uncut is Episode IV, A New Hope split into 15-second increments for the entire film. A fan picks a segment and reshoots it in their own way. A lot of the segments are funny, almost corny – but even more are phenomenally creative, giving you an insight into the many different film styles that exist and how they can all fit into the Star Wars universe.
I HIGHLY recommend having some time to sit and look through it. There are multiple submissions for multiple scenes, and it looks like it’s comprised of 100% badass, thus far.
