What’s this loud, obnoxious music in my game?

There’s no doubt about it that power metal is the one of the nerdiest forms of music, and next to J-pop and video game music itself, it’s one of a nerd’s favourite music choices, why? Not because “IT’S FSCKING METAL!”, but because power metal.. really is video game music, with guitars and flamboyant long-haired European guys. instead of short Japanese men who live in boxes.

Now, that being said, power metal is not one of -my- favourite genres of music, or even subgenres of metal, but if artists like Powerglove (of video-game themed power metal fame), Frank Klepacki (of Command & Conquer soundtrack fame) and Bobby Price (of Doom(1993) soundtrack fame) have taught us anything, it’s that nerdiness and metal really do go hand in hand.

So while doing some various internetting, I came across what was called “the most metal song in the world”. Now I must say, I’ve heard claims like this before, but for once I actually agree, there’s no way to explain it, so instead I present you with the one and only, “most metal song in the world”. Prepare to rock out.
