I came across this and agree with a lot of it. Also a few I can suggest that you may like, that I’ve come to love are: Claymore (GREAT show with the exception of the last 3 lame episodes, the Sub version is much better than the dub) Outlaw Star (Hot-Ice Hilda is one of the most badass charcters ever, the eng dub was done really well), Witch Hunter Robin (good story, starts strong in the beginning, gets a tad dull in the middle but picks up towards the end, the dub and sub are both good)and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (great animation and story, dub and sub are both reall good)

I started watching Soul Eater and Spice And Wolf (And continuing Slayers with the fourth season! =D), but ones I’ve been thinking of watching are Neon Genesis Evangelion, Ghost In The Shell, Gunslinger Girl, My Hime, and Shana No Shakugan.

Kiddy Grade is amazing! =D It’s comedy/action set in a sci-fi kind-of world, with a bit of fan-service, but that would be part of it’s charm. Once you get into it, it actually has quite a deep storyline and awesome characters.

It was one of the first ones I completed (It’s one of those stand-alone series that has about 20 episodes) and still one of my fav to date. =] Plus, it’s one of those one that is both great in Japanese and English! ;D

Some I would consider my favs include, Elfen Lied, Slayers, Kiddy Grade, Mahoromatic, and of course Wolf’s Rain.

Elfen Lied was great but I don’t know about making it my #1.
Samurai Champloo should be on the top 10 too! Good on there being no Inuyasha or Fruits Basket… they’re a bit overrated imo ^^; Air Gear is great! you need to watch the rest, same with NHK. In fact, I think I’d make NHK #1 or #2 at least! and I’d bump up FMA and Trigun.

Matron, you need to catch up with your anime ^.~!

I good list, but until you catch up on the shows you’ve missed, it will not be complete. On a side note, I need to watch Elfen Lied. I’ve heard it is good from multiple sources.
