Now, I realize my favourite anime choices are skewed seeing as I haven’t been keeping up to date with the new stuff… but hey! Doesn’t mean I can’t have a top 10! If you have some you want to add, or if you disagree with my choices, I’d love the feedback! Just post your reply
DOWN TO BUSINESS!!! Starting at 10
10. Ouran Host Club: Funny and a bit dramatic, this is a great series. Haruhi is a poor tom-boy girl in a rich school but as fate would have it she ends up as a member to the affluent Host Club of Ouran High School. After breaking a vase and having no way to pay for the damage, she is stuck working off the debt to the club by posing as a boy. For a better description, check the Anime News Network.
9. Karin: Vampire family has a daughter who is a reverse vampire. Instead of sucking blood she overproduces blood and needs to transfuse victims or else face an embarassing explosive nose bleed. Gets worse when a certain boy enters the scene. It’s a cute girly kinda anime, but I <3 it.
8. Full Metal Alchemist: I loved the series and I loved the movie. Haven’t seen Brotherhood (I don’t understand what the difference is to the main show after reading the synopsis). I cosplayed Lust way back in the day and I really want to revisit that costume. I just need to grow some C-cups ^^;
7. Trigun: I haven’t even finished this series (so don’t leave spoilers >.<), but I am so in love with the characters. It’s addicting. The picture looks a little silly, people running so happily with weapons, but the actual show is much more promising than this pic
I promise.
6. Midori no Hibi (Midori Days): Super cute and awesome anime about a girl who becomes a boys hand. It’s no coincidence, although it’s never really explained how it was logically possible… >.>
5. Princess Mononoke: I love the environmental message and how it depicts people. Good people can make very bad choices, even ones which are devastating to our world.
4. Ponyo: Nice and easy to understand storyline with the feeling of a good children’s story. Super cute.
3. Gurren Lagann: Amazing characters, amazing storyline. Bitter-sweet plot. It’s not a happy-go-lucky everything works out perfectly kind of show, which I respect. <3 Yoko. First ep is about people living underground and this one boy who aspires to what might await outside. It’s got a bit of mech, but there’s no sacrifice to storyline for it so if mech isn’t really your thing, I’d still say give it a go!
2. Spirited Away: Dark but light. I love how creepy it is while keeping such lovable characters.
1. Elfen Lied: A nice short series (13 eps) containing a lot of action, blood, and nudity. I love it when female characters are so destructive. Makes me proud. Very dark storyline… <3 If you’re not good with gore, I do not suggest. This has been one of the MESSIEST anime I’ve EVER watched. It’s about a science lab secretly messing around where they shouldn’t
Anime I Haven’t Watched, But Show Promise:
Welcome to the NHK (saw a few eps and I LOVE it), Death Note (yeah, as I said… I’m behind on the times >.>), Soul Eater, Cowboy Bebop, Air Gear, Tsubasa Chronicle ( I’ve seen about… 20 eps, but I stopped watching it
), Ergo Proxy, Gantz, Durarara!!
On a final note, the best live action I’ve ever seen is Hana Yori Dango which is based off Boys Over Flowers. Super amazing. Haven’t watched second season yet so don’t ruin it!
