I often try not to mention what I think of Steam due to risk of preaching. To be blunt, Steam is the second coming of PC gaming. It’s Doom, Quake and C&C all over again. It’s the reason that EB & Gamestop don’t really carry many PC games anymore.
The Half-Life series brought us a deep, immersive storyline in a well-constructive world that draws you right in.
Counter-Strike became famous because… well, that’s a review for another article.
The Team Fortress series redefined fun, and edited the description to include “Team Fortress 2″ as the definition.
Portal is Portal, there’s nothing I can say about Portal that hasn’t already been said.
Left 4 Dead introduced a new level of teamwork into the competitive online gaming world.
NOW, Valve has decided to do something remarkable with these series’, and offer the forgotten Mac kids a chance to play real games, without buying a 360.
Blizzard has been releasing hybrid versions of its games for years, and to my knowledge they’re the only company that bothered to keep to both platforms. Now it’s Valve’s turn, as the OTHER most respected game developer. I think it’s high time that the Mac geeks are allowed to play real games, I mean, they’ve probably had enough farmville and solitaire. Gordon Freeman, meet: THE APPLE!

P.S. I thought people had gotten over this when they realized that Intel Macs can run Windows.
