Google has decided to jump in the game with Twitter and Facebook, who are the leads in quick-update social networking. With the introduction of anything new, there will always be flaws. Facebook had it’s huge security issue, but people forgive that (or at least I do, cause it never effected me)… But with Google’s new Google Buzz, there’s already screams of outrage against a security flaw. What is this ridiculous flaw? When one first sets up an account with Google Buzz, which is based off of your gmail account, it automatically imports all of the people you email as followers and displays them on your profile page. This means people who don’t know you can view everyone you contact.
I don’t know about you, but is it really that much worse than Facebook? I mean, maybe if you have an affair or something it might be an issue… I don’t know. I think it’s being blown out of proportion. The only people this is affecting is those who have skeletons in their closets. And hey, to each their own! But I still have faith that Google will make Buzz an amazing addition to social networking.
If you have Google Buzz, follow us and we’ll follow you too!
