Lust
Today’s featured costume of my past is the next one that occurred chronologically to the Predator costume from part one. This costume was my first intentional cosplay (Con 06, I was 17!). The predator costume I wore to a sci-fi/comic/anime convention, which was my first convention. After that I was hooked and wanted to create something else! So I chose my favourite character from my favourite anime at the time: Lust of Full Metal Alchemist… Oh yes! Only thing was I had some severe problems with the dress. It looked like a potato sack! but there was no time to fix it! Convention was too soon! PRESSURE! STRESS! DRAMAAA!!!!
Anyways, here was the result. I was able to pose it good for the camera and I got a lot of compliments so I guess it wasn’t as fail as I considered it. Alas, one day I will! Who knows, maybe I’ll try on the old costume and just post pics from that! Gotta dig up the old hair extensions.
How it was made? Black curly hair extensions I sewed onto brush clips and stuck under my hair, then the gloves were generic from a costume store, I just added red ribbon and cut out 2 circles from iron on patches and stuck them on the top. Dress was an altered dress pattern I picked up from the fabric store, along with the fail fabric. Boots were my mom’s, and yeah! Voila!
