Costume Madness! Part One

I’ve got a lot of pictures of each to share so I figure the best way is if I break this up over a few days, but yes as I said I would, here are some of my costumes from over the years. I’ll work chronologically, so at first I’ll look rather young since it starts from when I was in grade 11.

Sooooo costume #1: Predator!

Upgrade in 2007 I think, for Halloween at a pub. My eyes look funny cuz it was a weird camera setting… Yeah..

So yeah, the mask is heavy as hell. It was my first time making something like this, and it is made of paper mâché and when I lost patience I slopped on some heat-set clay… So it literally smushes your nose when you wear it, and it strains your neck. But on the bright side, at least your neck muscles get a workout! After that it was a fun mess with various acryllic paints and the hair was some cheap long hair extension stuff I got from the drug store. Braided it and hot glued it on. Silver bits are sectioned duct tape. There are much better ways to make this mask, so I don’t suggest doing it the way I did.

For the body of it, it was a mash up of random fabrics I found and fishnet stalkings, hockey pads for my legs spray painted, ragged skirt thing was made from a bed sheet I dyed purple… and yeah. Rest is self explanatory. In fact most of what I already told you was self explanatory… Bah!

Anyways, next time will be a costume from a very well known anime, so watch for it! It’ll be coming!
